The book introduces to the readers all aspects of ground water i.e., its assessment, development, utilization and management. Practical application of different formulae for field conditions, data collection and processing, test procedures and principles of design are worked out to illustrate the theory and design procedure.<br/>The revised edition includes case studies of Pump Test Data in the country. Methods of irrigation and complete design and layout of sprinkler and drip irrigation projects are given.<br/>Model university question papers (with answers to problems) are given which explore a comprehensive knowledge of Ground Water Resource Evaluation.<br/>The book will prove eminently suitable for students, research scholars and professionals associated with ground water development and management.<br/>About the Author:<br/>Hassan Manjunath Raghunath (b.1938) had BE (Civil) from Mysore University in 1960 and MSc. (Engg.) from Kerala University (Trivandrum) in 1962. He was a Research Engineer in the Mysore Engineering Research Station, Krishnarajsagar during 1960-63, Associate Professor in Civil Engineering in GB Pant and Jawaharlal Nehru Universities during 1963?70. He has attended many teaching workshops, participated in UNDP and was a Water Resources Specialist for the Southern Region under AFPRO. He has one monograph, three books and a number of research papers to his credit. He was a Professor in Civil Engineering in MIT, Manipal, Karnataka.
