We are pleased to inform you that trial access to the PressReader has been activated for all IISER Berhampur users starting today. This trial access will remain active until 18th March 2025 and after that will have subscription-based access.

PressReader is an innovative digital platform providing access to over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from over 100 countries in 60+ languages. This lets the users stay connected with global and local news, trends, and events. Some of the major magazines and newspapers included in this database are National Geographic, Astronomy, Mathematics today, Biology today, Physics for you, Chemistry today, and The Hindu. The features of PressReader include:

• Interactive Content: PressReader's digital format offers interactive features such as audio listening, translation into different languages, and easy sharing of articles on social media.

• Personalized Reading Experience: Users can customize their reading preferences, selecting publications or topics of interest to ensure they receive the most relevant content.

• Access Anywhere, Anytime: With the PressReader app, users can download their favourite publications on any mobile device, providing convenient access on or off campus.

• Cross-Platform Compatibility: Whether accessing content via iOS, Android, or web platforms, PressReader ensures a seamless reading experience.

• Eco-Friendly: By providing digital access to newspapers and magazines, PressReader supports our institute's green initiatives by reducing the need for physical paper.

How to Create an Account

Step 1: Visit PressReader (within our campus IPs).
Step 2: Click on Sign in, then Library or Group (refer to the attached Guide).
Step 3: Select IISER Berhampur from the dropdown/search box.
Step 4: Use your institute email ID and submit a password to create an account.
Step 5: Visit your email inbox and activate your account.
Once activated, you can access PressReader both on and off campus.

This database can also be accessed off-campus via MyLOFT Remote Access.
